Summer is almost over. Excuse me while I go cry in a dark corner for a while. Just kidding... sort of! I just can't believe fall is already knocking on our proverbial doorstep. How does time go by so quickly?
I usually do a giveaway like this with products perfect for the warmer weather at the beginning of the season but this summer has been kind of crazy for my family and I. If you don't follow Beautiful Basics - The Sick Life then you're probably not aware of my health problems, as well as my Dads. He hasn't been well all summer, in and out of the hospital, and then last week I wound up in the ER with the worst pain I have ever been so unfortunate to experience. I ended up with a diagnosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia and I've been put on a medication that is making me feel not so good. That's why I didn't post last week and why I'm keeping it pretty simple with a giveaway this week.
On a side note, you can check out the blog post talking about my new diagnosis by clicking here or you can just visit The Sick Life by clicking here if you're interested.
Okay, on to the giveaway! That's why you're really here, anyway, so I won't keep you from it any longer!
The winner will be receiving some skin care goodies from Goddess Garden, Pacifica, and some cute little baby samples.
This giveaway is open Worldwide. You can do as many or as few of the options below that you would like, except for the one mandatory free entry. All entries will be verified. This giveaway isn't sponsored in any way. Good luck!

My family went on some fun day trips throughout NJ and PA this summer and will be doing one more at the end of the week! As usual summertime goes by way too fast!
ReplyDeleteDay trips are my favorite! Sounds like you've been having fun. I agree about summer going way too quickly, though! It's such a bummer.
DeleteHello, I always work in Summer. I will be on Holydays next month... but I think I will not go anywhere. I cant a few years ago. Life is this way for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all!
So sorry to hear that you're working all summer. I still hope you're having a good one even though you're not going anywhere.
DeleteMy summer has been okay. Saw Daughtry and Nickelback in concert, went to a wedding and also attended a couple of parties.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun! I bet they're both great in concert!
DeleteI'm sorry to hear your summer has been a struggle. I hope that the new diagnosis will lead to some new strategies that might make you more comfortable. Pain is a terrible distraction from everything we want to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kelly. I appreciate your kind words. I hope it will start making me feel better soon!
DeleteThis summer I had surgery, so didn't get to do a lot. I did start a nursing school course and ended up getting an A though, so that was definitely a highlight!
ReplyDeleteOh no! It sounds like you've had a very busy summer. Congrats on your A! That's so awesome. I hope you're healing well from your surgery.

DeleteIt is raining quite heavily in my country this summer with floods.
ReplyDeleteThis is the time the Hindu festival season starts , so everyone fasts , shop literally till they drop, cook dishes and visit each other
I feel bad reading abt your recent diagnosis - hope you feel better
Feel you should take rest & not pressurize yourself reg. declaring these results early, etc....plz take your time
I'm sorry to hear your country is flooding. I hope you're staying safe! Is it common to have a lot of rain this time of year?
DeleteI don't know much about Hinduism but I'm so interested in hearing more about it. It sounds like Festival Season is very exciting.
And thank you so much for your kind comments. I promise I'll take it easy. Thank you!
Summer here(for me) means buying raw green mangoes, cutting them , mising it with red chilli powder + mustard oil + crushed rye and making home-made pickle :)
ReplyDeleteI make mixed veg pickles too using carrots+turnips+lemons+green chillies
Tried my hand at making sun dried tomatoes but failed miserably

DeleteSorry to hear your summer has been so challenging! Mine has been very work-heavy -- I went back to working full-time in June, ended up leaving that job for a different position in July + have been there since. Plus, I'm still doing some freelancing AND working the part-time job I've had for the last year or so...which adds up to a lot of hours of work! Hoping I'll have figured out a better rhythm by the fall:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Caitie. Sounds like you've been super busy! I hope you're enjoying your work, though. That really makes all the difference!
DeleteMy summer has been good. We have been very busy enjoying the warmer weather. Lots of goof times at the beach.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I'm glad you're enjoying summer!
DeleteIt's been a rather dull summer this year. No chance to go off on a trip. Just business as usual. Maybe next year will be exciting.

DeleteMy summer has been pretty good! The weather has been gorgeous, so I've been enjoying many days on our deck reading and watching the birdies. My hubby just had 12 days off and we did several little day trips as well as a picnic. Plus we spent some time with family. I really don't want summer to end! lol I hope that you feel better really soon Kassie. :) xo

One of the highlights for me this summer was attending a play reading of a full length professional play my daughter wrote. It's the first step in getting the play produced but it's a start!

DeleteMy summer has been pretty good so far. I say so far because here in Northern CA September and October tend to be our hottest months, so summer is just beginning for me. I've been working a lot, but I managed 2 little trips (one for 3 days and one for 4) and have been swimming a handful of times.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Southern Oregon, probably not that far away from you, so I totally understand. Little trips are my favorite kind. Sounds like you've been having a good time. Thanks for sharing and entering!
DeleteMy summer was pretty quiet until I got rear ended in car accident by a guy who fell asleep and hit me. Now all my health issues are flared up and in lots of pain, and worried for my job as I had to go down to half days. Winning this would so cheer me up. ( new reader here, found you through honeybee gardens site) .
ReplyDeleteOH NO! I am so sorry to hear that, Serena. I have no words. Thank you for sharing and again, I am so sorry to hear this.
DeleteMy summer was so busy. My girls and I did something every single day. From swimming to camps.
